Tanya and I had a discussion about holidays today, and where we want to go this year. It's a tricky topic for us, mainly because she would really want to go somewhere that I've never been before. When you've been travelling the world for the last nine years, there aren't many places that I've not at least seen in part.
One place we both really want to visit, and it is a place I've never been, is Japan. I love travelling to Asia, it's probably my favourite continent. I've just never had the opportunity to travel there with work. Spring seems to be one of the best times to visit, so the plan is to save up for a long trip there in Spring 2019.
As for this year, we seemed to settle on San Francisco in Autumn. I've never visited the west coast before, and San Fran looks like the best spot to start a trip from. I think the plan is to hire a car for the trip (car hire seems so cheap in the US from a quick search!), and use SF as a base to visit many other places, like Yosemite National Park etc. It'll take some planning and research, but it should be an amazing trip!
