091/365 - February 2nd 2018
Today I am a quarter way through the project.
First off, I am still enjoying it, even though there are those days where nothing remotely exciting happens, and you feel pressured into finding a photo in something. I think I've had quite a few of those days, and it's really dampened my enthusiasm for the project. I feel some of the better photos have simply come from being in the right place at the right time.
I have at times loved having my camera on me at all times, other times it's been a real pain. Not because I've had to take the camera with me, but simply because I'd like to take my other cameras instead. My Fuji digital cameras have had dust on them as I've not picked them up in so long. When packing for trips, the Olympus camera takes up the one space I have in my travel bag by default, then I have to find space just to take one of the Fujis, or very occasionally, the Hasselblad.
When I do take more than one, I find it hard to decide or justify which one to use. Do I shoot pretty much everything on digital, and then take that one photo on film just for this project? If I take just the film camera, I don't want to solely shoot black and white. Did I make a mistake in choosing to only shoot the 365 on black and white film?
I've managed for 91 days so far, so I'm not going to change the way I go about things this late in the game. If I decide to do another 365, I may shoot in colour instead, or even digital.
I also flew home today, but as my flight was late in the afternoon, I had the opportunity to re-visit the market area in the daytime.
