I know I've mentioned it a few times already, but I'm really surprised at how much I prefer to shoot with film lately. I'm putting together an interesting blog post comparing some digital shots to film. As I took my Fuji with me on my last couple of trips, where I was mainly shooting film, I deliberately took many photos of the same scene on both cameras, mainly to satisfy my own curiously.
Even after editing the digital files (as I shoot in RAW), with some images needing quite a bit of editing to match the film images, I still preferred the film photos. There's no doubt that the digital photos are sharper, but they also look a lot more 'sterile' and flat. The film images have a lot more character and charm to them, and I love the fact that the camera captures the colours and scene pretty much exactly how I remember it in real life.
