I'm not sure if the weather gods heard all my swearing yesterday, but the day could not have started any better. Clear blue skies, and light winds. Everything was set for a great day of exploring.
Starting out on Soho, I headed south initially towards Westminster, and worked my way clockwise, passing through Knightsbridge, Kensington, Notting Hill and then back to Soho through Marylebone. Notting Hill was an area I was really keen to see, having only been there once for the annual carnival. I also got a bit carried away venturing into every mews I could find, as in the sunshine, many looked totally charming.
It was nice to explore with all the time in the world. Quite often when I'm travelling for work, I'm aware I want to make the most of the time I have, and I'm pacing everywhere in an effort to see everything I can.
I think I'll have to deal with some very sore feet tomorrow, as my watch tracked me walking almost 21 miles! I didn't quite manage 50,000 steps in the day either.
