Today I had confirmation that the three week trip to Hong Kong is going ahead. So most of the afternoon was taken up with booking flights and hotels, and getting all the logistics sorted. Really looking forward to this one! The only downside that the weather in July will be very hot (as per usual) but also really humid. I really struggle with high humidity, but I'll definitely be making the most of my time off after work, as well as a couple of weekends too. I may visit one of the other islands off the mainland that I we didn't get to visit on our holiday there a couple of years ago. I've read Cheung Chau is meant to be a nice island to walk around. I'll have to do more research......
In the evening I did something I've not done for what feels like a long time......used my digital camera. The forecast was looking good for the end of the day, so I grabbed my camera, after faffing about 'downgrading' the firmware after Fuji recalled the long awaited v4.0, and headed out for a walk on one of the nearby hills. It was also a good chance to get used to it again, and check everything was ok, before we fly out on holiday next week.
I also finished up a roll of Portra in the Leica with this shot, so I'll have to get around to sending off my next batch of film to the lab.
