Despite a very late night, we woke up relatively early as we had a bit of a drive to our first stop - Jerash. There were some amazing views from our hotel in Amman, it's a shame we were only there one night, it looked amazing itself! Something that was being built the last time I was here.
Jerash was a great way to start our trip, learning a lot about the local history and the types of architecture at that time.
We then had a bit of a drive back south, heading to the Dead Sea. It was startling to see the temperature display in the car shoot up as we descended to the lowest elevation on Earth.
Our hotel was right next to the sea itself and it didn't take us long after checking in before experiencing it for ourselves. It's such a surreal experience, you literally just float! Even swimming is incredibly difficult, not that you'd want to swim much. We're back at the Dead Sea at the end of our holiday so I'm looking forward to spending more time relaxing after a pretty packed week.
