This morning rounded off a simply incredible two days in Wadi Rum. We had heard that the only balloon rides in Jordan operates right near our camp, and our tour guide did his best to get us on the flight. We heard last night that there were two cancellations and we grabbed the last spots.
The flight itself started at sunrise, so it was a very early start. After staying up to watch the stars, we didn't get much sleep but the sheer excitement kept me awake at least!
This was my first ever balloon ride, and I count myself lucky having the chance to do it in such a beautiful location. Watching the sun rise over the Martian-like desert was incredible, something I hope I'll never forget.
We then had a four hour drive back up to the Dead Sea, staying in the same hotel as before. As we had more time to kill, we spent the day mostly chilling by the pool before having one last experience of the sea itself.
