An incredible seven days in Jordan came to an end today. We had a very early flight back home, which meant an even earlier start in the morning. Waking up at 3:30am was not fun.
I'm can't believe that a country I've been travelling to for almost 10 years for work has hidden so many amazing opportunities, and that doesn't even included the most famous ones such as Petra and the Dead Sea. I urge anyone to consider a holiday here, as it's an amazing country full of utterly hospitable people. We couldn't have been happen with our time here and I'm sad to leave.
The final icing on the cake was our free upgrades for the return flight......but at check in, we were told that the plane had to be changed to one that had a 'European style' business class. As an apology for this, we were given £150 each in compensation......cash!
We arrived home in the afternoon, and spent a bit of time sorting every thing out from our trip, and for me......starting to get some things sorted for my next trip. I also couldn't resist downloading my scans that I've been looking forward to seeing since receiving the email. I only had a quick flick through some of them, but I'm really happy with what I've seen so far.
Back to work tomorrow......bummer.
