My last day in Sydney. I was up at 6am for an early 10k run around some of the sights, as it was super quiet at that time in the morning, and seeing the sun rise over the opera house was a pretty good way to start the day.
I think I may have been overdoing it with the running however, as I was really paying for it for the rest of the day. A good sit down for 21 hours or so should do it ;)
It's fair to say I meet my fair share of taxi drivers, and most of the time they or I aren't really the chattiest of people. The driver in the taxi to the airport was probably the most interesting taxi driver, if not person, I've ever met! In a few weeks he's off to Thailand to spend a few months in a monastery, during which he will spend one whole month in complete silence. Not long after that, he's heading back to Brazil to pick up his motorbike and continue on an epic adventure from Canada all the way down to South America, which he previously had to bail due to lack of funds. He'll carry on his way all the way to the south, after which 'somewhere' he'll get a boat back to Australia. Fair play to you my friend, safe travels!!
