Well my arrival in Macau didn't exactly go as planned. I didn't realise you were supposed to catch the ferry from the airport before you pass through immigration, meaning I had to get the airport express train into Hong Kong, then make my way to another ferry terminal. Luckily I wasn't in any rush as I landed in the early afternoon.
Purely for convenience for work, I'm staying on 'the strip' (apparently). Macau is essentially China's version of Las Vegas, and I'm right in the heart of one area of it. My hotel is part of a huge complex of other hotels, and of course casinos. It really isn't my sort of thing from what I've seen so far but I'll do some exploring tomorrow evening.
