Last stop - Brisbane

My next stop after New Zealand was a (relatively) short flight across to Brisbane. This would not be my first visit here, but this time I'd be staying for a bit longer.....more time for exploring.

As usual, I would try to make a habit of heading out for a short walk before starting work. The fact that I would still struggle to sleep beyond 5am or so made this much easier too! The weather was quite a bit different from Wellington it has to be said. Although still in their 'winter', it was still mid 20s most days, and mostly nicer than our summer days back in the UK!

I can't recall visiting any other city where there is such a striking contrast between older buildings hiding amidst the ultra modern skyscrapers.

I also want to give a quick mention to the Malt Traders Bottle Shop. I can't remember how I stumbled across this place, but if you want to try a wide range of Australian and NZ beers, this is your place! Really friendly staff too, and if beer is not your thing, they have a huge selection of wine and ciders too.

It's been another great trip to NZ and Australia, although I am looking forward to coming home (but not the 20 hours of flying to get there!).

There's no time to rest after this trip too, as I'll be straight back to London for the weekend. I've also made a rather exciting new (sort of) camera purchase, so I can't wait to get my hands on that.
